Tirhani Group Holdings (TGH) was established in 2001 as a holdings and investment company initially with interests in auctioneering, business consulting, construction and research. The company was originally known as Tirhani Investment Holdings (TIH) and was officially renamed Tirhani Group in 2006. By this time, TGH had diversified into auto dealership, funeral insurance, funeral services, logistics, oil retailing, rail transportation, real estate, skills development and training. TGH restructured and consolidated its holdings and investment portfolio in December 2012; with diversified divisions in construction, disposal services, funeral insurance & services, investments, logistics, resources, training/skills development and recycling/ waste solutions.
