I read to young children extensively. To cultivate the love of reading in them I do dress ups and read books that are funny and exciting to them. This helps to increase their vocabulary. 📚📚

My name is Reuphus Leso an Honours Graduate from Wits university with Early Literacy as speciality. I have been teaching for 5 years to date. What a milestone. I am trained as a foundation phase teacher. I teach the little ones from Grade R to Grade 3, at times I help in Upper Grades with English.

Parents, we all know how difficult is it for our children to cope with the demands of the curriculum, Language continues to be a battle and causes barriers to learning. This is not for all but the majority. My team and myself will like to help. This is how;

I have two programs that I am starting this year. One being the reading program and the second one being phonetic accelerated program. The latter is a program that will enable children to know their English sounds better so that they escape a mistake of writing words as they say them. These two programs will run concurrently every Saturday.

Our physical address is no 8th Avenue and 10th street Orange Grove. Our school is called Bright Stars Academy. Our sessions are 1hour 30minutes long. We start at 8am till 9;30am. Children will be treated to various writing and listening skills activities. We used technology, audio, projectors and so forth. We start first Saturday of Feb the 3rd. Each child is to pay R70 per session.

We cater for children from Grade R to Grade 5. We are worried about fostering the language used in schools than teaching content base subjects. This is something not done on many occasions.
