Mandalay Coatings was established in Cape Town, South Africa in 1996 when it commenced with manufacturing coatings and paints for the building and allied industries.

Today Mandalay Coatings is well recognised in the paint manufacturing industry for its cold-resistant and fire-resistant paints just to mention a few. Customers include the Cape Town City Council, the South African Navy, the South Peninsula Municipality, Anglo American Mines and many corporate companies nationally.
