LBS Engineering Solutions (Pty) Ltd is a 100% black owned company comprising of a young (below 35 years) executive team with vast experience in mechanical and metallurgical engineering, design, (CAD modelling and FEA), project management, plant maintenance, inspection and system optimisation.
LBS Engineering Solutions (Pty) Ltd is a third party inspection company that is approved by the Department of Labour. The company is accredited with SANAS for ISO 17020 and SANS 10227 standards in order to carry out AIA manufacturing inspections of pressure vessels. The primary purpose of LBS Engineering Solutions (Pty) Ltd is to provide engineering consultation services and implementation and inspection services.

1. LBS Engineering Solutions (Pty) Ltd is fully compliant with both the international ISO 17020 and the South African SANS 10227 regulations.
2. Ability to certify pressure equipment
3. We have the capability to conduct inspection from single orders to entire projects.
4. This can range from a single final inspection to a full program starting with pre-inspection meeting through all stages of the equipment’s manufacturing life cycle to a final pre-shipment inspection and release.
5. Manufacturing inspections can be conducted on all types of mechanical, line pipe, pressure vessels and other equipment or welded structures.
6. LBS Engineering Solutions (Pty) Ltd has an in-house multidisciplinary team of engineers, therefore we can provide a unique proposition by providing value-added recommendations on deviations.
7. We can also assist with the development of optimised inspection programs through risk based Inspection (API 580/581).
8. Development of a long term equipment renewal plan based on the inspection history and expected damage mechanisms

The Team:

The engineering team is formed by a mechanical Engineer , inspector and metallurgical engineer. The Mechanical Engineer has a Bsc. in Mechanical Engineering (Wits), Msc. in Mechanical Engineering (Wits) and Government Certificate of Competency. The experiences ranges from locomotive design and maintenance , ADT design and design , and pressure equipment design and maintenance. The Metallurgical Engineer has a Bsc. in Materials Science Engineering (Wits) and MEng. in Industrial Engineering (Wits). The experiences ranges from steel making and failure investigations of pressure vessels.
