I will never forget how puzzled I would get when once I left a “black only” school we would always be told at assembly to wear a “skin colour bra” because all the other colours were untidy they showed through the white school uniform. I would later ask other kids who had been at the school longer. What is a skin colour bra? The pinkish brown bras they explained. I had none, hated the colour but it was such an issue that I had to buy them. None of them where anywhere close to the colour of my skin! I was puzzled until I realised said bras were not made for my skin.

I would start to notice other products too like plasters and adhesive bandages all made to blend with the skin, except not mine.

So I say big up black child. Your invention is so necessary! Finally skin colour bra for us… Watch everyone add a range ke manje and black people buying it like they did with head & shoulders who forgot about our hair until a black child decided to invent something for it now they come with their market penetration strategies. Hehe vuka darkie.
